Siemens Pool Car — Privacy Policy

Siemens Pool Car ("the App") is an internal application for authorised employees to reserve, check out, and return company pool vehicles. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The App is intended for internal/business use by employees only and is not offered to the general public.
- Who is responsible
The App is operated by the Siemens Pool Car fleet administration team ("we", "us"). For privacy questions or requests, contact: [[email protected]].
- Data we collect
We collect only the data needed to operate the pool-car service:
Account & contact information
- Name, email address, phone number, and department (used to identify you, contact you about trips, and enable carpool coordination).
- Your account identifier and role (employee/admin).
Booking & trip data
- Bookings you create (destination, pick-up/return location, dates/times, purpose, passengers, notes).
- Vehicle check-out and check-in records (fuel level, reported issues/notes).
Location data
- While a vehicle is checked out to you, the App records the trip route (approximate location, about once per hour, including when the App is in the background) so mileage and route can be reviewed after the trip.
- Location is only collected during an active checked-out trip, is not shared live, and you can disable it in your profile (location consent).
Device & technical data
- Basic technical information necessary for the App to function and connect securely to our servers.
The App does not use advertising, does not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
